Night Clothes and Ink-Dyed Sleeves by Molly Thompson: Night Clothes and Ink-Dyed Sleeves is a song cycle that explores the divide between desire and the divine. It is inspired by the works of three Japanese women poets, Kojiju, Sagami, and Ono no Komachi, who wrote between the ninth and thirteenth centuries. The songs are written for the electro-acoustic duo Latitude/Longitude (Michael Garofalo and Patrick McCarthy) and the Y Trio (Jody Redhage, Eileen Mack, and Jonathan Shapiro). Vocalists are: Kamala Sankaram and Jody Redhage.
